I wish. More like back in pasty white and bright red sunburn. Though my lack of tan aside, Japan was fucking awesome. Just, well, pretty much everything I thought it'd be - some things for the better and some for the worse. Plans are pretty definite that we'll go again next year, hopefully the general consensus will be Easter since that's the only time I'll be able to make it! Hooray for beautiful blooming, cooler temperatures and no flash floods and storms!

Cosplay events over there were pretty damn funky, too. We ended up going to three; one at Harumi Terminal, one in a building in Kawasaki and one in the theme park Yomiuriland. Not exactly as planned, but we ended up cosplaying the Yorozuya from episode 67 (bug catching gear...), Takagi, Mashiro and Miho from Bakuman and myself and ~yukayuka did Oga and Hildegarde from Beelzebub. There was some Reborn! cosplay, but I'd rather not mention it.... I did take Kyon, too, but never found and opportunity to wear him!
The events were all vastly different, but the underlying themes were much the same: networking and photo taking! Two things we have over here... But not to the same degree! We handed out and received so many meishi to the point where we were running out of specific costume cards, as well as taking some photo's of other cosplayers, allowing ourselves to be photographed and doing hundreds and hundreds of shots in private areas. A definite learning experience....

As well as geekery, we did the whole shabang of touristy things; shrines, temples, landmarks, GUNDAMS, shops and parks etc etc etc. Pretty much 99% of my 'to do' list was completed and what I didn't get to do will hopefully be DONE next Easter!

Cosplay for AyaCon is semi looking to what I planned. Unlikely that Kratos (Tales of Symphonia) or Sakuraba (Eyeshield 21) will get done, but I'll be taking Gin, Himeko [School festival ver.] for full days and Kyon & Kuzumi (Mx0) as backups.
